This medication quinolone antibiotic used for eye infections.
How to use Zymar 0.3 % Eye Drops
For best results, use exactly as directed on the full time prescribed. Stopping this medication too early may lead to relapse infection.To apply eye drops, wash your hands first. To avoid contamination, do not let the dropper tip to touch the surface.Tilt head back, gaze upward and pull down the lower eyelid to make a pouch. Place dropper directly over eye and instill the prescribed number of drops. Look down and gently close your eyes from 1 to 2 minutes. Place one finger at the corner of the eye near the nose and apply gentle pressure. This will prevent the medication from draining from the eye. Try not to blink and do not rub your eyes. Do not rinse dropper.If you are using other eye drops, wait at least five minutes before applying other medications.Do not wear contact lenses while using this medication. Sterilize contact lenses according to manufacturer’s instructions and consult a physician before using them.Inform doctor if your condition does not improve in 7 days.
Missed dose Zymar 0.3 % Eye Drops
If you miss a dose, use it as soon as remembered, do not use if it is almost time for your next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing. Do not double the dose to catch up.
Precautionary measures Zymar 0.3 % Eye Drops
Before using this medication, tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are allergic to it, or quinolone antibiotics (eg ciprofloxacin), or if you have any other allergies. This product may contain inactive ingredients that may cause allergic reactions or other problems. Talk to your pharmacist for more details.Before using this medication, tell your doctor or pharmacist your medical history, especially of: contact lens use.Your vision may be temporarily blurred or unstable after applying this medication. Do not drive, use machinery, or do any activity that requires clear vision until you are sure that you can perform such activities safely.Use this medication for prolonged or repeated periods may result in secondary drug infection.This should be used only when clearly during pregnancy. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor.It not known if this medication passes into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
Side Effects Zymar 0.3 % Eye Drops
Blurred vision, tearing, headache, eye irritation / pain / dryness / redness, bad taste in the mouth can occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, notify doctor.Remember, that your doctor has prescribed this medication because he determines that the benefit to you is greater than the risk of side effects. Many people using this medication do not have serious side effects.Tell doctor immediately if any of these unlikely but serious side effects such as persistent redness, swelling or eye eyelid.An allergic reaction to this drug is unlikely, but seek immediate medical attention if it occurs. Overdose Zymar 0.3 % Eye Drops
Overdoses of this product may be removed from the eye (s) with warm tap water.
Notes
This medication was prescribed for your current condition only. Do not use it later for another infection unless told to do so by your doctor. Various medications may be needed in those cases.Do not share this medication with others.
Storage
Store at room temperature between 59 and 77 degrees Fahrenheit (15 to 25 degrees C) away from moisture and sunlight. Do not freeze. Do not store in the bathroom. Rescind the decision if it changes color, becomes cloudy, or if it contains particles. Keep medicines away from children and not flush medications pets.Do down the toilet or pour them into the drainage, if instructed to do so. Properly discard this product when it is expired or no longer needed. Consult your pharmacist or local waste disposal company for more information about how to safely abandon your product.
